101
Learn
the skills necessary to practice Pilates safely and
effectively. This is a prerequisite for all Pilates
Mat and Reformer Classes. You may also take 3
private lessons - see the Special Intro. Package. in
the left column.
All
Mat classes will utilize the PilatesStick System as
an additional tool to assist in making your Pilates
mat experience more successful by giving direct feedback
on your alignment, facilitating more core muscle recruitment
and challenging your body with choreography usually
exclusive to the Cadillac and Reformer.
Other
props used in classes include Magic Circles, Stability
Balls, Foam Rollers, Therabands, etc.
Beginner
Mat
Build on the Pilates fundamentals and learn the basic
10 Pilates mat exercises.
Intermediate Mat
Further muscular strengthening and toning and improved
coordination with addition of more complex exercises.
Advanced
Mat
Only
for those in good health and able to complete the Intermediate
mat work.
Pilates
for Kids
Joseph
Pilates believed children should be given knowledge
of the body and that the information should be simple
and accessible. This is a fun class for ages 7-12.
Private lessons on the equipment are also available.

Basic TowelWork
A versatile, easy and effective home exercise program
that opens and expands the chest and shoulder muscles,
corrects forward head posture and increases range of
motion in the cervical spine.
Pilates on the Ball
Combines the principles, exercises and breathing patterns
of The Pilates Method with the dynamic qualities of
the exercise ball.
Prenatal Pilates
Incorporate Pilates exercises into your pregnancy. Trimester
modifications are demonstrated with precautions for
a safe workout. (A medical screening form must be brought
to class-please call The Pilates Advantage to obtain
one.)
Postnatal Pilates
This workout will target and strengthen specific core
muscle groups as well as relax and energize new mothers.
Please bring your baby! (A postpartum checkup by your
physician is required)
Pilates with Roller and Ring
Stimulate and challenge yourself by accompanying traditional
Pilates mat work with the Pilates Magic Circle and foam
roller.
Pilates for Golfers
Strengthen the core, increase flexibility, build stability
in the pelvis and shoulder girdle, balance both sides
of the body, which will allow you to hit farther, straighter
and more accurately.
Pilates
for Equestrians
Riders
do not need six-pack abs, buns of steel or huge arms,
they need strength, flexibility and balance to perform
activities on and off horseback without strain, without
risk of injury and without the need to compromise body
positions.

Pilates
Bootcamp
This
combo class is a non-stop workout incorporating cardio
interval training as well as strengthening on the Reformer,
PilatesStick System and Free Weights. Reformer
Rates apply for this class only. Limit 4 people.
Parent/Child
Reformer/Mat Combo
Workout
with your school-age child and help them learn proper
movement patterns for life. Child must be 11+ and at
least 5 feet tall. Parent/child fee is $25 for
adult and $15 for child.
Yoga
and Meditation
Yoga
is a practical aid, not a religion. The practice
of Yoga makes you strong and flexible while harmonizing
your body, mind and spirit. Cost for yoga is $96 for
an 8 week session.
